The Learning Abroad Fair Circuit is a collaborative initiative between Australian universities to encourage more students to study overseas on learning abroad programs. The 2026 Fair Circuit takes place in March.

IEAA's Learning Abroad provides support, professional development and networking opportunities for IEAA members and other interested professionals who work, or have an interest, in international leaning abroad.
The network aims to:
Network Conveners represent professionals across each of the IEAA Networks and are responsible for setting the agenda for network focussed events, research and insights and identifying relevant topics and speakers for the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC).
Convener
Linda is Manager, Global Learning at University of Melbourne. She has previously held roles at RMIT, James Cook University and Flinders University. Linda has previously served as Convener of the Learning Abroad network.
Deputy Convener
Jeannette Geesmann is Manager, Global Learning and Sponsored Students at the University of Western Australia. She has been working in International Education for over 15 years. Growing up in Germany, her passion to support others in learning abroad grew exponentially after her own study abroad in Sydney. After graduating from university and working for a German Education Agent, she returned to Australia in 2011 for a final Aussie experience.
With extensive experience in international education, covering recruitment, sponsor relations, business development, and learning abroad, Simon has been the Senior Manager of Global Mobility Programs at University of Technology Sydney for the past ten years. He leads a dedicated team supporting UTS’s ambitious goals for participation in outbound learning abroad, and also oversees the successful inbound study abroad program. He is passionate about innovation, community-building, equity and access, and enabling a transformative global mobility experience for students. He believes that high-quality learning abroad experiences open the door to better understanding and build a better future for us all.
