IEAA will recognise attendance at webinars organised by IEAA or partner organisations within 10 years from the date of the assessment request.

AIEC workshop, IEAA workshop. IEAA will recognise workshop attendance within 10 years from the date of the assessment request.

Full-day workshop, one-day IEAA forum, masterclass, research roundtable. IEAA will recognise event attendance within 10 years from the date of the assessment request.

Two-day IEAA forum or symposium. IEAA will recognise event attendance within 10 years from the date of the assessment request.

Successful completion of an IEAA online learning module. Please note that the online modules are currently under review and a relaunch is expected in early 2026.

Two-day (or more) workshop, forum, masterclass or other non-conference attendance. IEAA will recognise event attendance within 10 years from the date of the assessment request. Must be multi-institutional.

IEAA will recognise free, open-source courses completed within 10 years from the date of the assessment request. Must be International education related and you can claim up to 10 different courses.

Industry credentials that relate directly to international education, either through the credential itself, or your usage of that credential in your international education career. You can claim up to 3 different credentials.

Examples include: Asialink Leaders Program, Australian International Company Directors Course (AICD), Higher Education Academy Fellowship, Forum on Education Abroad Professional Certification in Education Abroad, ICEF Agent Training Course.

Completion document/certificate from the organisation.

If not directly related, will need proof from your employer that you utilise the credential in your international education work.

Years of experience working in the international education sector, in a professional or teaching/academic role.

Using foreign language skills to improve teaching and/or the provision of programs and services to international students.

Membership on a national Board or Government standing committee specifically related to international education. You can claim up to 3 different committees or boards (or 3 years of participation on one).

Membership on a state or territory standing committee (e.g. state-level education agency) specifically related to international education. You can claim up to 3 different committees or boards (or 3 years of participation).

Confirmation of appointment/participation.

Recognise international education experiences (overseas exchange, short programs, staff exchange and scholarships). Must be beyond the scope of your day-to-day role and recruitment trips will not be counted. You can only claim up to 3 times for the same activity year to year (i.e. same study tour year on year). Other unique activities can be claimed unlimited.

Duration: minimum 2 weeks and up to 6 months.

Contribution to the international education sector as recognised by an individual or group award (awarded by an organisation other than IEAA). You can claim up to 3 different awards.

Recognising high-level internal awards at your place of work for contribution to the international education sector. Examples: Institutional or organisational awards, innovation awards. You can claim up to 3 different awards.

Examples include: Forum planning committee, AIEC program committee, project working group etc.
Points awarded after completion on the project.

This includes the points for attendance. To receive points, you must be a main presenter (Chairing will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

Hosted by an IEAA partner organisation, peak body, Government conferences or alternate short workshops (half-day, full-day or multi-day) outside of IEAA. Must be multi-institutional and to receive points, be a main presenter (Chairing will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis). IEAA will recognise contributions from all years with evidence.

Must be written for purposes beyond the scope of your day-to-day role and be an original work. You can claim up to 3 different books.

Must be written for purposes beyond the scope of your day-to-day role and be an original work. You can claim up to 5 different chapters/articles/reports in this category.

Must be written for purposes beyond the scope of your day-to-day role and be an original work. You can claim up to 3 different research digests.

Must be beyond the scope of your day-to-day role. You can claim up to 5 different editing/co-editings of a book.

We will recognise AIEC attendance within 10 years of the assessment request date. You cannot claim if you already claimed points for presenting at the conference.
